ترجمة وتحرير الخبر اليمني: وبحسب الصحيفة قال أفراد الطاقم لرئيس الأركان هيئة الأركان العامة للدفاع الوطني إن مهمتهم كانت بمثابة عملية انتحارية وأنهم عادوا من الجحيم، بسبب أن الفرقاطة القديمة من طراز MEKO لم تخضع لأي تحديث، مما جعلها “عمياء” وعاجزة عن التصدي لأنظمة الأسلحة المتطورة التي يمتلكها الحوثيون.
ووفقا للصحيفة: كانت الفرقاطة “هيدرا” تبحر في البحر الأحمر دون حماية ضد الطائرات المسيرة، وطوال المهمة تجنبوا إطلاق الطائرات المسيرة والمروحيات الموجودة على الفرقاطة “هيدرا، كما لم تستطع المدافع القديمة من نوع Phalanx التصدي للطائرات المسيرة اليمنية التي كانت تحلق باستمرار فوق الفرقاطة اليونانية، مما اضطر القوات الخاصة لاستخدام أسلحتهم في محاولات إسقاطها وكأنهم يصيدون الطيور في وسط البحر! وصل بهم الأمر إلى استهداف النجوم ظنًا منهم أنها طائرات مسيرة! حالة من الهذيان… وكشفت الصحيفة أن أحد الصواريخ التي أطلقتها القوات المسلحة اليمنية انفجر على بعد 150 مترًا فقط من الفرقاطة “هيدرا” في خليج عدن، بينما كانت ترافق سفينة تجارية، بينما جاء بلاغ مركز العمليات التابع للناتو في لاريسا إلى قائد الفرقاطة “هيدرا” بإطلاق الصاروخ بعد دقيقة من انفجاره بجانب السفينة، مما تسبب في موجات كبيرة واهتزازات قوية في الفرقاطة.
بناءً على هذا الحادث، طلب عشرة من أفراد الطاقم العودة إلى الوطن فورًا بعد رسو الفرقاطة في ميناء جيبوتي.
وأكدت الصحيفة أن هذه الحادثة كانت هي سبب وراء عودة “هيدرا” في أوائل يونيو وليس في نهاية يوليو كما كان مخططًا في البداية.
وأكد أفراد الطاقم لرئيس هيئة الأركان أن الفرقاطات من طراز MEKO مثل “هيدرا” و”بسارا” هي وحدات ذات تكنولوجيا قديمة ومتهالكة.
تعتمد هذه السفن على أنظمة لا تستطيع التعامل مع التهديدات المتعددة الحديثة، في حين تعمل وحدات بحرية في المنطقة بأنظمة من الجيل الأحدث.
