Saudi writer: The kingdom will not give up Yemen to Iran or make an agreement with its arm

السعودية واليمن - جندي يمني Saudi writer: The kingdom will not give up Yemen to Iran or make an agreement with its arm - Saturday 28 January 2023 الساعة 04:29 pm مشاركة Aden, NewsYemen:  A Saudi writer said that the Kingdom cannot simply give up Yemen to Iran, while he considered what is being raised about side agreements that may occur between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi militia, just part of the propaganda from what he described as the enemies of the Kingdom with the aim of undermining the confidence of the Yemenis in Saudi Arabia.

” Saudi writer Mohammed Al-Musaid said, in an article published by "Okaz" newspaper, under the title "Saudi Nodalism in Yemen," that a country the size of Saudi Arabia will not believe in an agreement with a militia," adding that "the most important files of disagreement between Saudi Arabia and former US President Barack Obama is Iran.

" He added, "Since he (Obama) came to power in February 2008, he called on Riyadh to cooperate and share influence with Iran in the Arab region, and the Saudi point of view has always said: Iran has no relationship with the Arab world and has no right to interfere, as it lives on its borders and is not part of it.

"  He recalled Prince Saud Al-Faisal's response to former Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif when he said: "What is Iran's relationship with Arab affairs, in response to an Iranian proposal to reach an understanding with the Saudis on the division of the Arab world?"The writer described Saudi Arabia's intervention in Yemen, at the head of an Arab coalition in 2015 at the request of former Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, as "a chivalrous, quick and courageous decision to protect the head of the Yemeni state and the source of its legitimacy even if that angered the Americans, and to meet the needs of the Yemeni people and army to preserve its Yemeniness and his Arabism.

”He added, however, by saying: "It is true that Yemen is a brother and that its relief and rescue is a moral duty, but this also goes within the framework of the Kingdom's strategy since its inception, which confronts the attempts and ambitions of foreign border countries to penetrate the Arab space or compromise the security of its countries.

" The assistant mocked what was being raised about agreements that might occur between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi militia, and said: "Today there are some Yemenis talking about agreements or understandings that may occur between the Houthis and the Saudis at the expense of Yemen.

Is it reasonable to conclude agreements between a militia and a country the size of the Kingdom?"   And he added, "The Saudis view Yemen as a single bloc with multiple components.

If these components agree and reconcile, then it is the road map towards ending the civil war and establishing Yemen again, but this is only part of the propaganda of the kingdom's 'enemies' aimed at undermining the Yemenis' confidence in Saudi Arabia.

"The Saudi writer concluded by saying: "The Kingdom will not abandon Yemen politically, economically and security, as it has done for decades, and Riyadh will remain its biggest supporter in terms of development, economy and security in confronting terrorism and helping to stop the civil war that Yemenis are living through.
