جبهات مأرب Fierce battles after the Houthi attack on two axes west of Marib - Saturday 19 June 2021 الساعة 07:19 pm مشاركة Marib, NewsYemen, Exclusive: Violent confrontations erupted, on Saturday, between government forces on one side and the Houthi militia on the other, in the "Al-Zour and Wadi Dhanna" front in Marib Governorate, eastern Yemen.
Field sources told NewsYemen that the Houthi militia launched a major attack from two axes, in the areas of "Al-Zour" and "Wadi Dhanna", west of the city of Marib.
Simultaneously, the Houthis carried out secondary attacks, in "Al-Mashjah" and "Al-Kasara", following a relative calm witnessed by the fighting fronts in Marib during the past days.
According to the sources, military clashes erupted between the two sides, in which they used various types of heavy and medium weapons, resulting in dead and wounded on both sides, without specifying their numbers.
The field escalation of the Houthis, from the western side, came during a missile shelling launched by the militia on the city of Marib, using two ballistic missiles.
Since the beginning of last February, Marib has witnessed the most violent battles, following a massive ground attack by the Houthis, from several axes, in an attempt to complete control of the province.
