Activist appeals for UN solidarity after separatists threatened to kill his son السبت 23 مايو 2020 09:52 م الصحوة نت - خاص 2020-05-23A key southern activist who received death threats to his son and other forms of violence from separatists in Yemen's Aden city has appealed for the UN peace mediator to Yemen and international human rights organizations to show solidarity with him.

 Militants from the Southern Transitional Council have threatened to murder Sarraj the son of Madram Abu Sarraj the Deputy Chairman  of the Southern Revolutionary Movement which champions the South Yemen cause to be resolved within a united Yemen.

 Abu Sarraj, a teknonym, received a WhatsApp message from members of the separatist council stating: "It is just a bottle of petrol we can pour it near your house, or can hit your son Sarraj (with a vehicle).

 "I appeal to the UN Special Envoy, the European Institute of Peace and the other European and Arab organizations concerned with human rights to stand by me as I face a fierce attack on account of my peaceful activism," he said in a video clip posted on his facebook.

He said he has received repeated messages warning to "imprison and kill me.
