SAM and the Mothers of Hostages in Houthi captivity call for release of hostages including Qahtan الأثنين 01 يوليو 2024 05:37 م The Association of Mothers of the Hostages and Forcibly Disappeared persons in Houthi captivity and SAM Organization for Rights and Freedoms have issued a joint urgent humanitarian appeal to the negotiators in “Muscat” to secure the release all hostages and foribily disappeared including senior activist Muhammad Qahtan without restrictions or conditions.
This came during a press conference held in the city of Taiz, coinciding with the launch of negotiations in Muscat, between the Houthi militia and the government delegation regarding prisoners and abductees, which will continue until the fifth of next month.
The two organizations called on the negotiators to exercise national and humanitarian responsibility, and to work hard to end the issue of detainees and forcibly disappeared persons, including the Qahtan whose release was provided for in a UN Security Council resolution.
