Houthis bomb oncology center in Taiz السبت 24 أكتوبر 2020 08:25 م الصحوة نت - خاص Alsahwa Net- The Houthis bombed on Saturday Al-Amal Oncology Center in Taiz city.

Local sources said that the Houthis militants stationed east of the city, bombed directly at the center which resulted into injury among citizens.

Two persons were injured, and others were traumatized especially women and children.

The center was reopened last February following five-year suspension caused by previous attack on the building.

The center provides its service to hundreds of patients from Taiz and other nearby provinces.

Recent report by the International and Regional Eminent  Group of Experts said that “the group remains concerned at the continued practice of parties to the conflict of using indirect-fire weapon systems with wide-area impact, such as rockets and mortars, especially in populated areas.

” “Given the imprecision of such weaponry, their usage in such environments gives rise to the likelihood of significant civilian casualties and damage to civilian buildings,” the report said.

The report confirmed that the incident then killed six women, one guard and two female children, and injured other six women, in the female section of the prison.

It indicated that “Some of the women killed and injured had been due to be released the next day as part of an effort to ease the prison population amid concerns over COVID-19.
