Islah media official calls for more care to Socotra الثلاثاء 11 أُغسطس 2020 08:34 م الصحوة نت - خاص Alsahwa Net- Chief of the Islah's Information Department, Ali Al-Jaradi called on the Yemeni authority on Tuesday to take care of the Socotra archipelago.
Al-Jaradi wrote on his Twitter account that the people of Socotra expressed on Tuesday their support to the federal Yemen and its role will be crucial for installing the federal system.
“Socotra must be a political priority to the Yemeni authority and a national anthem for every Yemeni,” Al-Jaradi said.
Al-Jaradi was referencing to the march by the people of Socotra on the same day who took down streets demanding prompt implementation of the Al-Riyadh agreement, return of the local authority and armed groups be disbanded.
Participants of the march affirmed their support to the state and their eagerness to access their rights to effective political participation.
The participants uttered slogans that expressed support to the Southern National Coalition to grab their political rights.
They condemned attempts aimed at damaging the public peace in Socotra which has been recognized a place of peace.
