Houthis’ new attack kills four citizens in Hodeida الأثنين 01 يونيو 2020 07:20 م الصحوة نت - خاص Alsahwa Net- A new Houthis’ attack killed on Sunday four citizens and injured 18 others targeted a gathering of children in Al-Salakhana quarter of Hodeida city, local sources said.

The sources said that the Houthis shelled the place with mortar-shells that resulted into injuries among the children who were playing a game.

The militants fired another shell when first responders arrived at the place which maximized the casualty.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) confirmed the incident and said that its supported Al-Salakhana Hospital received 22 wounded civilians among them four deaths.

The MSF said on its Twitter account that the targeted site is only1.

It added that the location is a “public place crowded with families and the attack happened when the children were playing.

One house nearby the site was also hit by the shells, according to the MSF.

It said that 16 of the wounded were children and one of them passed away.

The organization condemned the attack and called for urgent measures to ensure that civilians are protected in the ongoing conflict.

However, it blamed the attack on no party.

The government blames frequently the Houthis for shelling attacks that target civilians’ areas.
