Saudi Arabia to donate $500 million for Yemen’s humanitarian response الأحد 31 مايو 2020 11:43 م الصحوة نت - خاص Alsahwa Net- The Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohamed Al-Jaber, said on Sunday that his country will donate $500 million to finance the Yemen’s humanitarian response plan.

 The money will be pledged during the Yemen’s donor conference which is hosted by Saudi Arabia and will be held on Tuesday 2 June.

Al-Jaber wrote on his Twitter account that Saudi Arabia is the biggest contributor to the humanitarian response plans in Yemen and it will contribute extra $500 million for this year’s remaining plan.

The Saudi diplomat said that $25 million of the Saudi contribution will go for projects addressing the Covid-19.

The Yemen’s donor videoconference which is organized by Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the United Nations (UN) is intended to motivate international donors to support the UN humanitarian programs in Yemen.
